This has been the year of the Chevron pattern. Bold, unflattering and obnoxious. Although, one might think this is a very fun and fresh look, it actually makes every girl look big. I have seen a plethora of shapeless tops with this pattern this year and can’t wait for this trend to die. I’ve discouraged multiple clients from using this pattern for their senior portraits and even those that insisted on taking a couple of portraits in Chevron tops ended up not ordering a single image with this pattern because it is so overpowering and it made them look big. And what young lady wants that?
The moral of this rant is that it’s always better to have outfits for your shoot that are not busy and won’t scream “this was so 2013” or whatever year you graduate.
